Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation, incorporated in October 2000, is a nonprofit, private charitable foundation organized to further carry out the philanthropic mission of Middlesex Savings Bank. The Foundation was established to ensure the ability to fund eligible organizations in the Bank's market area in any economic environment. Giving back to the communities we serve is a privilege and an obligation that we take very seriously.

Supported by Middlesex Savings Bank, the Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation provides grants to organizations located within the Bank's CRA market area. Middlesex Savings Bank initially provided $2 million on an endowment basis and continues to add to the endowment annually.  As of December 2006, the endowment totaled $5.4 million.

The Foundation now operates three philanthropic programs:

  • Educational Opportunities Program
  • Capacity Building Program
  • Community Development Program.
